Wires too big for the bike

Comments about Accel Universal 8.8MM Wire set:
These wires are described as universal, however if you have a 'typical' bike that has the wires that are inserted raw into the coil with a little retainer and screw on cap to hold it in place, it will not work. The 8.8mm wires were much to big for the screw on caps or to fit inside the coil. I was trying to assemble my own set of wires for a 2002 Honda Shadow 750.
will not work on a cb1000c

tried to fit on cb1000c honda but factory wires screw on coils and these won't fit also the plug ends don't even snap onto the spark plugs.
