EVERY bike I've owned has a set.

I've had (in order)1991 KLR250 / 01 TTR125L / 01 KLR650A / 96 KLX250R / 01 TTR125L (x2) / 99 XR650LEACH ONE has either come with a set (as my first TTR did), or if it didn't, I promptly bought a set for the bike. I've seen too many broken levers and bent bars to know that these things WORK. The internal aluminum bar really protects the levers, and transfers impact well. I've dropped all the bikes, include the big KLR's, and saw no damage to my bar-mounted controls! Get a set, you won't regret it.Also, Acerbis is pronounced 'Ah-ch-er-Bees' It took me a few faux pas to get it....

Happy KLR with Acerbis guards!

Installed these guards on a KLR 650 to replace all-plastic guards. We do use this bike off-road on long-distance, multi-day to multi-week rides, and the all plastic guards just didn't provide enough protection. The provided mounts fit nicely to the handlebars. Package included adaptors for both straight and tapered bars. Getting the guards to fit correctly took a little bending of the in-board ends of the metal reinforcement bars, but this was easily accomplished using a bench vice. The handle-bar inserts are nicely machined, were a snug-fit before tightening, and appear to be strongly locked in-place once tightened. We have these same guards on a couple of enduros and have put them to the test repeatedly. They hold up well, protect the brake/clutch levers, as well as the handle bar ends.It would be nice if Acerbis offered these guards with inboard mounts that attached to the upper triple-clamp bolts instead of to the handlebars.
