Comments about National Cycle Heavy Duty Windshield Mounting Kit:
This is the second National Cycle windshield I have purchased in seven years, That doesn't mean the old one went bad or anything. I am selling it with my old bike, it is still in excellent shape. It was the beaded wide heavy duty Lexan shield, no one makes a better windshield than this one, I mean no one. When I bought my new bike I had to buy a new Windshield because my old one wouldn't fit. I didn't think twice, I went straight to Bike Bandit and entered my make of bike, the model and year and voila the choices were listed. It couldn't have been easier. I bought the wide tall touring National Cycle heavy duty again but not the beaded. The description referred me to the correct mounting kit and and I ordered it and everything fit like a glove. Shipping was super fast, the packaging was top notch and the price was the best on the internet. I have found a new home at Bike Bandit and it is a good one.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Easy to assemble. nice chrome finish, and looks like OEM quality.
Good looking & heavy duty mounting kit
The brackets are heavily chromed and easy to install....extremely heavy duty......works great with the large touring windshield I purchased at the same time.
Quality hardware, but had to force a fit

These chrome pieces are solidly made, but the fitment guide saying it would fit for a 2009 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic apparently didn't take into account the left side clutch cable retention ring (made of steel) that sits immediately below the triple tree. I had to cut off the top 1" of the rubber backing that keeps the bracket from slipping on the fork cover. Even then, I had to force the bracket past the retention ring with considerable force. Once that was done, I was able to get the rest of it in place and the windshield mounted to it fairly easily.
