When Push Comes to Shove
from Zapata, TX., 78076
Comments about National Cycle SwitchBlade 2-Up Windshield:
The reason I did not give this product a five star rating is due to the directions providing the final assembly instruction. I tried for several hours to mount the windshield without success. I then called "Bike Bandit" who referred me to the manufacturer for more recommendations. After several minutes with them, I was asked if I had pushed on the unit hard enough. I asked how hard is hard enough. The answer was that you had to force it to a point where the bike tended to move. I have never believed in forcing two items in order to join them together. Had this kind of resistance been noted in the directions, I would have been saved a few hours of trial and error and some phone calls if this had been explained in the instructions. The bike did move a couple of inches backward in the process.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This windshield is great! Quick on and off, but sometimes I worry about that because the mount for my VTX-1800 doesn't have any way to lock it on the bike. That means making sure the alarm is armed. Even after 5 years, it hasn't scratched or became any less clear than the day I bought it.
Makes Old Look Like New

Bike Bandit helped me out when three others gave me the run around, even my dealer didn't help me. They matched my bike perfectly with a windshield and hardware. Quick delivery ( Three days across the country unbelivable.) Instulation was very easy , took about 1hr. Paid a little more but fits and looks great. Makes my 2002 look new. Well worth the money. THANK YOU.
Tall, big, but works great

commuting 125 miles a day, this was a necessary purchase. I was always on the fence about buying a windshield due to all of the buffeting comments that where posted. I am 6'4 and get very minimal buffeting with this shield, and fits perfect.
