Comments about Powermadd Universal 475 Motorcycle Handlebar Risers:
I was changing my handlebars to a cafe racer style but the handlebars were too far forward and too low. I didn't want to take away from that look either. This riser is nice and strong. The Instructions suck though. I was trying to figure it out! So to make it easier on you READ THIS! I'm freaky when comes to safety. Once you install the bottom half of the riser, tighten down the two bolt you can't reach first. Back them off a quarter of a turn. Rotate the riser in the direction you want it. Then torque the bolts to spec. Remember to retorque the bolts after your first ride. YouTube has videos on how to installed risers, but not for this one. So use that knowledge to do yours correctly and safely
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

A solid piece of metal
The product is a solid chunk of metal, when attached it feels good and gives good feedback. What was not so good is that I ordered the shorter version because I only wanted to raise it a little and bring it back just a little, it's probably over two inches total, but this leaves NO room to tighten the lower clamps under the bracket, so you can't really adjust the double axis to fit anywhere you want you have to attach it where you can get an allen wrench past it so you can torque it down. Plus, the piece was too wide to fit on a GSX650F 2008 risers without a little grinding, even a quarter inch would have been enough, it was frustrating to make it fit. The top mounting brackets are very wide, wider than the markings on standard handlebars, and the block is long and kind of ugly when the bars are mounted to it.HOWEVER, once mounted, AND, not caring if it looks great or not, it works very well, it feels very good transmitting the feel of what the front tire is doing back to the driver. I think its a better reach and angle than simple risers would be and I'm happy I bought it. I hope they modify the product a little bit by tapering the mounts a little closer together to fit bikes with risers mounted on the small side, AND modify the top to better hide the clamp under the handlebars when mounted (perhaps by by shaving it down to the width of the handle bars or something like that) AND they need to include a allen wrench with a very small end to it, so people don't have to cut their own allen wrenches down to fit OR put mounting holes in it so an allen wrench can fit through the block part and tighten the lower bolts.
