Round stainless mirror with 10" stem
from University Place, WA
Comments about BikeMaster Round Stainless Mirror 10" Stem:
My trail bike had 8mm mounting holes for the mirrors and the new mirrors threaded ends were 10mm, so I had to drill and tap the 8mm holes to fit the ends of the new mirrors. It worked just fine and the mirrors look and work great. It would be great if in the add that the thread size was mentioned.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought these (L&R) in the hope that I could replace my broken glass right mirror and match the left to the new right. My 1981 Honda CB650C was all original to this point in time. I removed the old, installed the new, and adjusted best I could (had to get to work), and by the time 13 miles rolled by, I knew I was had. The right mirror could not be adjusted enough to look behind me in a level plane (only at the ground about 5 feet behind or beside me) and they both vibrated so badly I could not see much in them anyway. The originals had isolation that prevented that, these do NOT. The resulting blur was about useless, as was the up-close view of the pavement. I think I am going to have to locate a glass shop and just replace the glass in my original mirror, which is otherwise perfectly fine.If you need a mirror on a boat, these are possibly fine. If you need one on a bike that does not have ANY vibration WHATSOEVER, you can get by with them. At least, being stainless, they won't rust on you. If you need them on a real motorcycle, however, one that exists in today's plane of reality, you really do need a different product, because this one falls tremendously short of true utility. They spent too much on materials and finish (good)and not enough on isolation, adjustability, and quality control (bad). It made a great idea into a bad one.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
