    K&L Front Caliper Rebuild Kit

    By GS Fan

    from Michigan

Comments about K&L Brake Caliper Rebuild Kit:

I used the K&L kit to replace the rubber seals on the front brake calipers of an old Suzuki GS850. The OEM rebuild kit from Suzuki contains the piston(s) also. This kit is just the rubber parts and is all I needed, and is considerably cheaper than the OEM parts. The kit I used fit well, rubber seemed good quality and it went together as intended. Once the brake system was bled properly and in operation, there were no leaks and it all worked. No problems at all and I'd recommend it to others

    '83 Aspencade front caliper rebuild

    By Anigre

    from Minneapolis, MN

    Pros

    • Easy To Install
    • Improves Performance

    Cons

    • Front Calipers Are 2 Size

    Best Uses

    • Street Bikes

Comments about K&L Brake Caliper Rebuild Kit:

Honda's parts schematics on the '83 Gl1100's has a problem: it tells you both front calipers are the same and they are not. The right front has a 32 in the casting, indicating 32 mm calipers. The left has a 25 on the casting, indicating 25mm caliper. So you need two different sets of seals. For the 32mm caliper the Honda numbers are 45109-MA7_006 for the dust seal and 45209-MA7-006 for the piston seal. You need two of each for one caliper.

Comments about K&L Brake Caliper Rebuild Kit:

The only problem is a lack of directions. I was able to figure it out, but a simple diagram with small descriptions would be helpful for a novice. Still, I plan on ordering this product again the next time I replace these.

This does not say if it fits a front or rear caliper. Will this work for front calipers on a 1988 kawasaki zx600R c. When I entered my bike it gave me this listing but does not specify front, rear or both.
