Each Ballistic Performance Component Battery is assembled by hand in the USA using computer designed custom proprietary cells, cases, and hardware. All covered by an industry leading manufacture 3 year warranty. The EVO2 Battery is significantly smaller and lighter than the OEM battery. Not what I expected

      By Chris

Comments about Ballistic Performance Components 4 Cell EVO2 Lithium Ion Battery:

I bought the 4cell as a replacement for my 1982 Honda CB450sc Nighthawk. The small size and light weight would make it an excellent battery if it was a powerful as a normal battery. It started the bike the first two times and then it would not start it at all even after being fully charged in 80 degree weather. Very disappointed and I ended up buying a regular battery anyway. This was rated for my bike and it isn't worth the money.

      better than advertized

Comments about Ballistic Performance Components 4 Cell EVO2 Lithium Ion Battery:

I put this battery on my 1972 Sportster XLCH and I love it. Small, easy to hide, always ready to go. The specs suggest this won't work but it's fine. I installed a low output end cap regulator (cycle electric) on my generator to make sure I didn't over amp the little battery.

Comments about Ballistic Performance Components 4 Cell EVO2 Lithium Ion Battery:

Great battery if you're looking to lighten up an E-start enduro/trail/playbike. Swapped one into my KLX140L and probably took 8-10 lbs. off the bike when removing the airbox as well. Had to contort the battery terminals to fit the battery, but it cranks well and lasts a long time. This battery does not like cold weather, though. Store the battery in a warm place if you're bike's in storage, or else it'll take forever for the bike to start.

Comments about Ballistic Performance Components 4 Cell EVO2 Lithium Ion Battery:

I put this battery in my 2006 Kawasaki Ninja ex250 to replace my lead one that went bad. They included foam to use to hold the battery in place since it was much smaller than the lead battery. I have had it over a year now and even over winter storage it kept it's charge and let me fire my bike up without any problem. While not exactly cheap you do get what you pay for.

              A:

Thanks for the question. If the battery is fresh out of the box it does not need a charge. It can hold a charge for 1 year. If you do still want to charge the battery you can use automotive or motorcycle based charger is acceptable to recharge your Ballistic Performance Components Battery as long as it has an automatic shut-off at 14.4V to prevent over charging. If you are using an automatic charge, be sure that it is not used in automatic desulfication mode designed for lead-acid batteries, this can damage the cells. Standard Charge: 2A @ 13.2-14.4V for approximately 45 minutes or until the battery registers 14.4V. Maximum Charge Rate for Standard Automotive-based Charger: 4 Cell EVO2 (100-010) – 10A @ 13.2-14.4V for 15 minutes or until the battery registers 14.4V. Thanks for your question! We show this would be a 6 volt battery due to how this is made for your machine specifically. We show the sizes as listed on the website. Measurements (L X W X H) 2.5in x 2.5in x 3.5in. We know many of the batteries listed on our website are made to fit within the original battery tray or box. You may use these dimensions here to verify your battery compartment size.
