Comments about Ballistic Performance Components 8 Cell EVO2 Lithium Ion Battery:
First reaction: wow, it's light. It will fit perfectly in my 2008 CBR1000RR.Install: posts were opposite and on top instead of stock side posts. Quick modification to stock brackets and bolted in. Stock harness holds it in place without need for any padding of the space.First start: "Eh." Bike started but didn't "wow" me with the massive cold-cranking power I was expecting. I started to think that this was not much of an upgrade.2nd, 3rd, 100th start: WOW. It really turns even when the bike is running hot and after getting gas. I can't prove it, but I swear the bike idles better as you come to a lazy stop from 20mph to 0.

Works as advertised

My next-door neighbor installed one in his '86 Yamaha V- Max. After seeing how well his battery worked, I bought one for my '04 Yamaha FZ1. Installation was easy; I just had to measure, cut and fit a few pieces of the supplied foam to my battery box. I hooked up the cables and fired it up on the first try. So far, no complaints, although I have not operated in under 50 degree weather yet. If it' s still working this well in a year, I' ll give it a five star rating.
Nice Idea ... lacks reliability
from San Jose, CA
Bought the 8 Cell for my 2003 Triumph Sprint ST as recommended by the vendor. When the weather is nice the bike turns over 1st try. Recently the weather dropped into the low~mid 50s and the bike struggles to turn over - usually not turning over at all.If you're look for something reliable, and live someplace where the temps get a little cold ... skip this battery.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Doesn't fit Hondas !!!!!
By Tony V
from Tucson, AZ
Does not fit Honda dirt bikes (as advertised). The terminal polarity is backwards, doesn't fit and doesn't work. I have three late model Honda's, doesn't fit any of them. Complete waste of money, do not order this part for any Honda Motorcycle as it will not fit. Also, my battery did not come with any papers or instructions or any fitment foam or anything at all other than the batery and box. Bullshmit! Do not order this waste of money !!!
