Comments about BikeMaster Maintenance Free Battery (BTX12-BS):
A good deal for the money,be carful installing the caps at the finish of adding the acid. They are not very strong and if you don't get the holes lined up exactly, the caps will deform and not seal.Other than that its a good deal, pretty light in weight, has good cold cranking power. The only other thing I didn't like is that it is white in color.Try it you will be happy.

Battery Failure at 5 Months
from Old Saybrook, CT
I bought this battery for my 1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200S back in March 2014 and it performed well after installation and initial charge. It continued to be reliable until August 2014 and then started having problems holding an adequate charge. The bike is ridden regularly (at least once a week) and I've never had a battery go bad on me this quick before. Even during the cold winter months I could always rely on other batteries I've had in the past. There are no charging system issues with my motorcycle. I think the 160 CCA rating is just adequate and I will get a different brand (more cold cranking amps) next time. It's possible it was just defective or something broke internally. In the mean time I have to charge it if I let the bike sit more than two days so I'll nurse it along as far as I can until winter and then recycle it. That being said, I consider bikebandit.com a valued source for my motorcycle parts and will continue to do business with them in the future.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
