Great battery

By Scott

from London, OH

Pros

  • Maint free

Cons

  • Mounting posts

Best Uses

  • Fit nicely in bike

Comments about BikeMaster TruGel Battery (MG12A-3A1)(YB12AL-A):

Worked great all season. My Katana has the ability to boil batteries dry and I had no issues this season even riding 8-10 hours at a time. Battery mounting posts did not match my cables and I hade to modify them to make them fit. Otherwise, great deal!

Mostly Good

By combichristo

from Dexter, MI

Pros

  • Fit perfectly

Cons

  • Had to buy cable extender
  • Posts on wrong side

Best Uses

Comments about BikeMaster TruGel Battery (MG12A-3A1)(YB12AL-A):

Only complaint I had about this battery is the fact that the posts are on the opposite sides as my cables which meant that i had to get some cable extenders. Not a huge problem and it may only be a problem for my machine (1982 Kawasaki Spectre 750)

Thanks for the question. The battery is charged at the factory, but as a rule of thumb it is always a good idea to trickle charge the battery before installation to guarantee that it is fully charged.
