    Comments about Eiko Halogen Bulb:

I purchased a high-powered version (100/55) and am very impressed.

This bulb replaced a Sylvania SilverStar Ultra that was previously fit to my Ninja 250. I was very pleased with those bulbs but the high-price and short-life I experienced with my car's bulbs was a bit of a deterrent. I love some extra nighttime visibility for my bike so I try to review different bulbs when I can afford to. (The SilverStar is still in good shape, back in it's blister pack where it will stay until the Eiko burns out or I review another brand.)

Nothing outstanding about the low-beam, but the high-current high-beam is, to my eyes without any special equipment other than a 12am dark ride from work back home, ever so slightly but noticeably more effective than the costly bulb; exactly what I wanted to see.

Another observation is that the light appears to be warmer than the Silverstar's white light, but by no means yellow, just a typical halogen; there is no coating on the bulb like there is on the Silverstar.

The headlamp assembly on my Kawi is plastic, save for the glass, and after a week of 30-mile high-beam-usage-per-night has suffered no obvious damage from any extra heat generated by the high-power bulb; the same is true for my very-thin wiring. Closer inspection of the wiring is in order but I'm not expecting to be disappointed.

I hope to experiment with modifying / improving my wiring harness to attempt to improve lighting further just in case the bulb cannot draw to it's full potential. This is pure speculation.

    Comments about Eiko Halogen Bulb:

This bulb is an excellent choice for older motorcycles with marginal charging systems. Very bright using only 35 watts.

        A:

Thank you for your question. The only way to get a brighter light is to install an HID kit on your TRX. This bulb will be a little brighter, nothing in comparison to an HID kit. Below is a link to our HID kits:
        http://www.bikebandit.com/bikemaster-h-i-d-light-kit
HID kits are plug and play applications; they will intensify the light output 2-3 times. They feature built in transformer ballast to step up power to the bulbs. Normal bulbs will not produce more light if not given more power.
