    Comments about BikeMaster Turn Signal:

After some quick shopping around the BikeBandit prices were by far the best. I wasn't sure what to expect for a match with my 20 year old bike and sure enough they were perfect.

        Comments about BikeMaster Turn Signal:

I bought my wife a '77 CB750A Hondamatic that had a Vetter Windjammer fairing, but she wanted the bike returned to stock. So, I bought these BikeMaster turn signals to mount on the headlight brackets that I managed to find elsewhere.

That was a mistake. I should have gone OEM.

The turn signals *look* exactly like the OEM turn signals -- five stars for appearances. However, the OEM turn signals have 3 wires per signal; these have only 2 (hot and ground), and no instructions to say which of the three factory wires these should be connected to. After buying a Clymer manual with a color wiring diagram -- and some trial and error, as well -- I figured it out, but "direct replacement?" Not.

Next, the bulbs that were included in the BikeMaster turn signals were obviously a different wattage/resistance than the bulbs in the OEM signals. Whereas the turn signals in the Vetter fairing blinked at the rate you would expect, the BikeMaster turn signals would turn on for about a full second, blink off for maybe a quarter of a second, then back on for a full second, etc. They worked better when I swapped the bulbs in the Vetter fairing with the bulbs in the BikeMaster turn signal, but again, I had to find a work-around for a "direct replacement" that wasn't, grrr.

If you are really hurting for a cosmetic replacement for OEM turn signals, these will suffice, but quite honestly, I'd try to find NOS -- or even used -- OEM signals rather than buy these turn signals again. The OEM ones may be more expensive, but in my opinion, these turn signals were a disappointment.

My front turn signals have 3 wires that go to the light? Does this unit have 3 wire? A 2 wire light won't work.

            A:

Thanks for the question. These are OEM replacements. If your machine has a 3 wire set up then it will be a 3 wire signal that you'll receive. No machine specified so we could not check the specifics on that. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you by contacting us by email at Sales@bikebandit.com, Live Chat or by phone at 888-339-3888. We are more than happy to help.

Thanks for the question. These are OEM replacement signals. You need to first enter your year, make & model to get to the correct signal. I've used these before and they are exactly like the OEM signals and highly recommend them. In trying to order the light I need a rear turn signal. It seems my only choice is front left or right. ? Do these fit the rear of my 800 classic??

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Thank you for your question. Can u specify a bike model? Do u speak of the VN800 Classic? The model VN800 does not have any listing for a rear signal. The front signals are incorporated in the rear. The other models do have a listing since they are single filament lights.

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Thank you for your question. For the front applications the bulb is an 1157, for the rear the bulb is an 1156. The front lights take the dual filament bulb for the signals and running lights.
