Comments about L.A. Sleeve Cylinder Sleeve:

I installed this sleeve myself. The machinability of this sleeve was excellent, no hard spots or casting imperfections. If you want to take this project on yourself, watch a couple of vids on the subject on youtube. Specs can be found on lasleeves website.

Thank you for your question! We have checked into the 440 bore kit on the Wiseco website and show the stock bore is 85mm while the new bore on the kit you have is now 89.00mm. We show the sleeve options listed for your machine are stock size and a big bore 88mm size. Unfortunately it does not seem this would work for your machine. We do apologize. You may want to check with L.A. Sleeve Co. direclty for this.

Good question! Yes you will need to bore the sleeve still to the exact size and have it honed to ensure a perfect seal.

  • Q:

So if it gets bored to size, then I assume it does not have Nikasil or another coating. Which is not a bad thing, it means it could be bored again. Right? Might be a little heavier than a coated cylinder?

  • Q:

Does this come ready to put in and slap a piston on? or does it have to be bored to size?

Thanks for your question! The Sleeve would still need to be bored to that exact size and honed with a cross hatch pattern to ensure the rings and piston have a better seal.
