    from Pekin, Ill

Comments about Vance & Hines Classics II Cruiser Exhaust Systems:

Put these on a 95 Shadow, and it took two of us to pull and bend and stretch to get it on. Part of the directions were off and nothing to attach the bracket to the bike. It took close to 3 hours. With that being said, they look awesome, are loud. Took baffles out and it is LOUD!!!!!!! Delivered in less than a week across country. Love them but would never want to try and put them on again

    Service and delivery comments:

Very helpful customer service and pipes look good

    • Q:

I have after market straight pipes V&H system on the bike. Bought that way. Too much loud "popping" on down shift. Had the Honda dealer re-jet and adjust carbs. Not much help. Too annoying for me to ride. Will this exhaust, with the baffels, help this problem.

Thanks for your question! A exhaust with baffles will help this problem as many straight pipes will pop on deceleration or down shifting. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with.

Is this the complete system to bolt on directly to the 2 cylinder heads? Currently it has a manifold/resonator the pipes attach to.

      Thanks,

when using vance and hines pipes , do you need to rejet the carburetor on the motorcycle and how do you know if it needs rejetted ?

        A:

Thanks for your question! In most cases You would need to rejet and you would want to due to performance. The machine will optimize the power given by the pipes when proper jetting is achieved. You would need to visit your local mechanic for jetting recommendations or contact Vance and Hines directly.

    • Q:

the bike in the picture does not look like the VT1100C2 1996 Honda Shadow A.C.E. For one thing the rear exhaust pipe doesn't seem to be connected to the rear cylinder head. Will this product fit my 96 ACE and are they strait pipes or conventional?

Thanks for your question! This is a general photo that vance and hines provides. It may not be a photo for your specific machine, but we do list that these will fit the 1996 ACE.

    • Q:

I have a 1990 Yamaha Virago XV750. My bike has stock exhaust which is extremely quiet. My bike is only a 750cc, and I'd hate to put this system on and have it sound like a loud weed-eater. Will this system give me that low rumble you get on some of the larger cc machines? Is there anyway I can get an idea of how this system will sound on my Virago without installing it first?

        A:

Thanks for your question! This exhaust will not give you a higher pitched sound like a sport bike, but a lower rumble. Some manufacturers will offer a sound clip of the exhaust on your model at their website. If not you can sometimes find clips online, like through YouTube.

    • Q:

My bike is a 88 B-1 vulcan SE 1500. I'll guess this after market exhaust will not fit as the pegs mounts are not visible for passenger. I'll also guess there is no after market exhaust for my bike and oem parts at nearly 1,000 to replace. Am I correct?
