    Comments about BikeMaster Air Filter:

This seems to be a great quality part. Not only is the filter great quality the rubber backing around the filter is made of great quality as well. Air restriction is at a minimum with this filter. It was a tight fit but then again, you don't want a loose filter that will allow debris to get past the filter and into the carb. I bought this for my 2003 VL800... All in all this seems to be a really good filter. Should last the life of the motorcycle..

      Comments about BikeMaster Air Filter:

A less expensive copy of K&N. Oiled gauze filters have been the standard for a while now since K&N introduced the tech. years ago. I have a K&N for my BMW. I bought this one for project I am working on. It's a little cheaper.

do you need to purchase any additional parts (oil, cleaner, etc.) to maintain this air filter?

I already had a similar filter so the filter oil and cleaner I already had...it's still worth the price though when you consider never having to replace the air filter again....just clean and re-oil.....
