      Comments about BikeMaster Air Filter:

A less expensive copy of K&N. Oiled gauze filters have been the standard for a while now since K&N introduced the tech. years ago. I have a K&N for my BMW. I bought this one for project I am working on. It's a little cheaper.

      Comments about BikeMaster Air Filter:

Pros: Looks easy to clean and low restriction (although I haven't exactly dyno'd it...and IMO anyone who can claim they can feel a 5 hp difference on a 130 hp bike from the seat of the pants alone is a liar). Price is also right, this was only a couple bucks more than an OEM paper one and should easily last for as long as the bike with regular street use.

Cons: Was a very tight fit. I managed to wedge it in there without anything distorting, although it's probably going to be a pain to remove for cleaning in 12,000 miles.

Other thoughts: I've never seen any K&N or K&N knockoff filter that included the cleaning kit, so I don't see that as a gripe. The last cleaning kit I bought is maybe 1/2 empty after 10 years servicing three vehicles, and they're only like $15 anyway.

        Comments about BikeMaster Air Filter:

This is a quality product that fits as well as OEM. Noticed a small increase in power and would guess also im milage. Was dissapointed to find that needed Bike Master cleaner and oil to fullfill warranty requirements. Needed that information up front and would have purchased with air cleaner and saved on shipping. Thanks for this fine air cleaner.

          Comments about BikeMaster Air Filter:

Noticeable power increase from the stock filter. Appear to be well made. Filter has more surface area than the stock filter. Been in the bike for 2 days but I'm happy with it so far.

do you need to purchase any additional parts (oil, cleaner, etc.) to maintain this air filter?

I already had a similar filter so the filter oil and cleaner I already had...it's still worth the price though when you consider never having to replace the air filter again....just clean and re-oil.....
