Installed on my dual sport klr. Noticed a slight increase in mpg. Found it easier to clean than the k&n I took out. And it was half the price.

    Dirty On The Outside

Comments about UNI Multi-Stage Competition Air Filter:

UNI filter is the only foam filter I will run in my dirt and dual-sport bikes. The two layer design traps dirt better than other filters I have used. The coarse outer layer traps the big particles without getting clogged while the denser inner layer collects smaller particles. Because the layers are separated, not glude together, there is more air flow. Plus, it makes them a breeze to clean. I try to keep a clean spare all oiled and ready to go in a gallon size zip-loc bag for quick changes when time is short.

I have installed these on 93 & 2000 xr650L, 2 x 82 yz490's 93 KTM 250exc and 03 kx 125. Air flow and power, response increase on all machines. Very easy to maintain and they last for years.

    • Q:

Is this filter an assembly that replaces the stock filter, or is it just the outer foam that goes over the stock filter basket? If not, could you direct me to an aftermarket replacement assembly that fits into the stock air box?

      Thanks!

My 1983 Suzuki RM250D Has a two stage flat form air filter discription in the OEM parts list. The after market illistration view looks too be dome shape. If I order an after market UNI air filter will it fit my stock air box set up? Is there a UNI two stage flat shaped filter for both sides L&R? That is what I need for my RM250D. Can you please compare the two different types of filters I'm speaking of from the OEM parts list and the after market parts list I'm looking at,thx.
