Comments about UNI Standard Replacement Air Filter:

Had to replace my paper filter. Decided on a foam model as many with my bike (Buell XB12) have been impressed with the difference. Only have one ride in so far this season, but I did notice the throttle was more responsive, especially from a stop.

DO you need to buy one for each side or does it come as a pair? Also, these look quite different than the paper filters that came with my 1971 CB450. Is this normal, i.e. it just attaches to one side or is it not the right part? Thanks everyone!

Thanks for your question! You would want to get one for each side and that picture is just a generalized image you will get the style meant for your machine.

Thanks for your question! If you have a 1991 Ninja ZX6 this would fit your machine with no issues. this will be the same exact specs as the OEM but it would flow more air allowing your machine to breathe better and create more power.

        • Q:

Hello - I recently asked a question about this product, inquiring specifically about why your website indicates that it will fit a 1971 Triumph Bonneville while the UNI website itself denies the existence of any such product. I received this from you in return earlier today:

"Thanks for your question! Yes this air filter will replace the OEM filter, It will fit 750 Bonneville years 1971'- up"

There was no 750 Bonneville until 1973. The 1971 and 72 (and some of the 73s) were still 650s. So I assume that the information on which this question is based is faulty. Either the filter in question here will fit a 1971 Triumph Trident (with a displacement of about 750), which takes a single, much larger oval-shaped filter, or it fits the later (73-83) Bonnevilles, which had a pair of laterally arranged rectangular filters with baffles in the middle. Which of these is correct? Because the first answer I received is impossible.
          I would appreciate the clarification.

Does this filter come pre-oiled, or does it need to be oiled before it is installed?

            A:

Thanks for your question! This would not come pre-oiled. You would need to purchase air filter oil and cleaner to service the filter yourself and get it ready for use.
