Heavy rider upgrade

By Bob717

Comments about BBR Motorsports BBR Heavy Duty Fork Springs:

Bought the BBR Heavy Duty Fork Springs for a CRF100. At +200 lbs I was bottoming the forks pretty consistently around the play trails I tinker on - the forks make the ride somewhat more supple and definitely help with the bottoming-out problems. Easy to install too, just uncork one fork leg, pull the old spring, drop in the new, re-cork, and repeat on the other side. Definitely recommended for heavier riders.

  • Q:

Since there are no markings on the springs. Vissually will i see a difference between them and the stock springs??

Are they thicker or something? I have not removed the stock springs yet. But i do want to make sure that they do match the rear BBR spring I've ordered. These new BBR front springs look weak to me at this point. I can't imagine the stock springs being any smaller than these. Please get back to me with the best answer you can thanx. Your loyal customer.

Thanks for your question! With the BBR Heavy Duty Fork Springs that your looking at they will be slightly visible to be thicker but the actual spring rate on them is what makes them heavy duty, these are wound tighter to allow a stiffer spring.
