EK's SRX motorcycle chain is an excellent value for any street machine. It features lightening holes, reduced friction and Quadra X-Ring design, which increases chain life from 1-1/2 to 2 times longer than a standard O-ring chain. Rivet style master link included.

Comments about EK 525 SRX Quadra X-Ring Motorcycle Chain:

When my V-Strom wore out the front sprocket, I decided to replace the OEM chain and rear sprocket at the same time. I had never replaced a chain or sprocket before, so I was a little nervous. Chain breaking tools? Riveters? *cough* HOW MUCH for the tools to replace my chain? I was about to just take my bike to the dealer and have him replace the chain for me. But then I found this chain (and more importantly, the screw-type master link that EK made for this chain), and decided to give it a shot.

I removed the old chain with my angle grinder, and bought the screw-type master link for this chain, and you know what? It was a piece of cake. If you can replace your brake pads and change your own oil, you can install one of these chains and the screw-type master link.

I've only put a couple hundred miles on the bike since installing this chain, so it's way too early to comment on durability, but so far, I am very happy with my purchase.

Comments about EK 525 SRX Quadra X-Ring Motorcycle Chain:

You can see and feel the superior quality of this chain compared to the piece of junk that the Honda Shop put on my SV650. I bought a clip style masterlink because I didn't want to buy the tools to install the riveted masterlink that it comes with. My only complaint is that the chain didn't arrive in gold. The picture on the box is gold and on EK's website it states that this chain is only available in gold. [...]

A great chain at a great price

Comments about EK 525 SRX Quadra X-Ring Motorcycle Chain:

I use the chain on my SV650 and it does a fine job. The design of the rings is supposed to increase the chain's life. Easy to install and it appears of great quality.

        • Q:

I have used kerosene to clean previous chains per original directions. I now have the EK Quadra X-ring gold chain. Is kerosene safe on this, or should I use a degreaser to clean it with my Grunge Brush?

            A:

Thank you for your question. Kersoene is the only solvent that will not ruin o-rings. The X-ring chain uses a new style of o-ring. I recommend to use a chain degreaser for the EK chain. Hi: Is this the correct pitch for my 2005 CBR600RR. If it is,should I get the 116 link or a different link length to fit the bike. Thank You

            A:

Thank you for your question. The 2005 Honda CBR600RR has a 525 x112L chain from the Factory. Please note if the sprockets are 525 sprockets, this chain will not fit a quick acceleration kit.
