Comments about RK 520 XSO Performance RX-Ring Motorcycle Chain:
This is my second RK XSO chain, the first one having reached around 19,000 miles on a daily rider/tourer living outside under less than ideal conditions and maintenance. At replacement the old chain was getting noticable tight spots and the sprockets were getting shark-toothed, but they hadn't been replaced last time, so that was expected. If you keep up with the chain slack and replace the sprockets at the same time, this product would probably get 20k+ miles. FYI, other posts complaining about master link not being clip type: Rivet style links are much safer when installed correctly. There are tons of resources online explaining how to do it right with even the most basic tools (I used a Motion Pro Mini Chain Press Tool and a ball bearing on the rivet head to do the whole installation). Spend a few extra bucks and ride with more peace of mind.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

You should supply both types of masterlinks in the kit. Most riders do not have a tool to crimp master links, but we all can install one with a clip.

Very Good EXC chain
I don't know how long this chain has been on the bike, but it's been a while. The links are worn flat, and I've discovered the master link has been gone for some time. However, it has worn well and held up to some tough riding in the 800 miles of off-roading I've but it though on a KTM525EXC. It was well used before I bought the bike. I'm only replacing it, "just because". May just buy another! I estimate it's about 3yrs old and about 1500-2000 miles or around 100+ hours.
