The Alpinestars S-MX 5 Boot is CE certified. Innovative air vents at the ankle, heel and forefoot are covered with specially designed mesh to provide unmatched levels of rider comfort. Quick drying polyamide lining is laminated with open cell foam and high density contoured padding to absorb shocks to the foot area. Large 'throat' profile instep and Achilles flex bellows for superior flex and comfort. Inner protection is given by a double injected panel connected to the heel counter, hidden beneath the outer shell and running up the outer ankle. Durable, high-tech micro-fiber upper construction offering a high level of flexibility. Double injected PU shields the shin, ankle, calf, toe and heel from impact while minimizing abrasion. Vented boot is fully vented for the ultimate in cool riding.

I just got the boots and its a stunner. Beautiful, feels great, true to size and is much lighter than my AXO. Gives me a great feel of comfort and at the same time gives me the protection I need with a great price as well. I also got a Alpinestar socks and gloves as well all perfect combination. FINALLY! I wear a size 14, reasonably priced boots are hard to find, and when I do get them it's like walking in snow boots.These "kicks" are well padded, I like the ankle cup, they're ventilated and I can walk around in them while at the numerous rallies I attend. I also like the "toe rubs" as I tend to get a little nutty in my decreasing-radius turns and the decreased friction helps.This is like my 7th or 8th order with you guys, and I haven't been dis-satisfied yet!

S-MX5 worth the bucks

The sizing is right on: I wear a size 9 US and the Euro 43 is perfect. Great quality and finish is as expected from AS. Boots are comfy and has the protective features. No need to break in.The vented version (black only) works. Looks good too.

Hard to put on, but once on provides a snug fit with plenty of toe room. Proper size runs one euro size smaller than Sidi or Dainese. Requires a bit of break in to get full movement for pedal use and larger toe box required slight adjustment up on shift lever. Calf hooks up inside or outside just fine.
