        When you strap them on they are reassuringly tight. When you take your first step, it feels like you're wearing the souls of angels. And it doesn't interfere with my riding setup. They are suprisingly light, somewhat flexible, and feel sturdy. I'd bet my life on them. I'm not sure if it was design flaw or rider error (probably the latter) but I lost my left toe slider first ride out. Oh well. I love them.

        Fit for me is one euro size larger than the SMX 4/5. Same as Sidi or Dainese. Extra protection suits them to track days or spririted riding, but are pefectly comforfortable for daily use too and walking in them is fine. Pants fit in or out. My preferance is the SMX 5 for commuting though. These boots are gonna be too warm when temps are consistantly above 60. I'll look to use the plus vented for warmer weather.

            I wear a size 11. Would you recommend a 45 or 46? My Alpinestars Fastlane boots say size 11 is a 45 but these say 10.5

              Thank you for your question. I recommend a 46 in case you need to wear technical socks or coolmax socks. Since the socks are thicker than normal you will still be able to fit them.
