Specially designed front knobby pattern for more precise steering and better tire float when riding in sand. The arrow-shaped centerline knob improves steering; inverted cones in the shoulder area improve cornering grip and traction in mixed terrain. Bead-to-bead bias-ply construction for firm control and precise handling. This tire has AMS' stylish color hot patch. The advanced natural rubber compound runs cooler and has increased abrasion resistance.

Comments about AMS Sand Snake MX Sand Motorcycle Tire:

Used on a DR650SE. Sand or mud doesn't phase this unbelievably affordable tire. It turns through sand like a pizza cutter, tracks pretty darn straight through the sugar if you're gassing it, and lets you actually squeeze on the front brake without washing out. It's even surprisingly durable on pavement, under a chunky DS like the DR. I have over 2K miles on it already, a lot of which is 2up on pavement. It still cuts turns and tracks straight in the sand. People using aggressive $50+ non-DOT front knobs on their dualsports, for running mostly sand and mud trails, are missing out by not trying this tire. Just don't try to corner on pavement like you're using a street tire, though it hasn't washed on me at all. It just feels squirmy, as expected. I barely swap on my street tire (Shinko 244) anymore, and both of them install so easily that I barely need levers. I bought another one right after the first, I liked it so much in the sand.
