Externally they look like the RX-Q, but they have a longer shell front to back, to accommodate longer heads, this helmet is a true Arai Long Oval shape. This purchase represents the best helmet I've ever owned. This is a step up for me from Scorpion and HJC's. I had been using XL helmets in those makes because I have a long-oval head and any smaller helmets always crunched my cranium. I was fitted at a cycle show by Arai staff and turns out that I'm actually a Medium, in a proper fitting helmet. The Signet-Q is the only helmet that I know of catered to fit long-oval heads. The Pinlock visor and clear lens insert come standard, and this is the only truly fog-free option for helmets. There are a number of options for ventilation, and a built-in extendable chin curtain. Arai helmets are hand-made, not machine mass-produced, and the quality difference shows. I considered investing in Schuberth and Shoei as well, but they just didn't fit my noggin like the Arai did. I can't judge the ventilation yet because have only used in Northeast winter riding thus far.

Great helmet - I am a "long oval " head shape, and though I'd actually like to try something new, I keep coming back to Arai's Signet/Profile family 'cause they just fit. But I'd also like to compliment BikeBandit. Ordered on Sunday of a 3 day weekend, shipped on Tuesday afternoon, received on Wednesday. It's not a cheap helmet but free shipping and AMA discount were very welcome - on top of sale pricing.

For the first time in 33 years, I have a helmet that does not crush my forehead. Fantastic fit. I was a little nervous about getting the proper size via an online purchase but using the fitting guide, it worked great. Anybody who goes straight for XXL when trying on helmets must try the Signet Q.
