          does this tire have harder rubber in the middle of the tire because most of my riding is straight highway riding...

            Thank you for your question! This tire does not have a harder compound in just the middle. This is a single compound tire made for long distance commuting. So this would have a hard compound throughout the tire. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
