A couple of my high-tech friends did the intial tests of these new batteries, and were extremely impressed. I took their lead, and have nothing but good things to say about these batteries. As my other motorcycles need a new battery, I'll be replacing them with one of these new technology units. The first thing you'll notice is how unbelieveably light they are....

Not enough cranking power

Installed the battery 2 days after receiving it in the mail. After adding rigid insulation so it wouldn't move around in battery box, I cranked it up and it slowly churned, but eventually caught. I rode to work, left it for 8 hours in 35-40 degree weather, and it BARELY started. I thought I was going to be stuck at work. Rode it home (including some highway), hoping it would charge up. Tried it the next day, and still barely started the bike. I'll be returning this battery ASAP. Disappointing.

Lost just over 4 lbs

I installed this battery in a 2007 Triumph 675. The factory battery weighs 5lbs 11oz this models weighed 1lbs 8oz on my scale. Starts the bike perfectly. The fit was easy enough in the bike I used the foam in the box supplied with the battery to locate it in place. You will need to experiment with the position when installing it. Otherwise the seat will not fit back on the bike. I am in AZ so the temps here are quite high no problems to report at all. The other benefit would be no battery tender. So no wires to trip over in the garage.

Works as advertised

My next-door neighbor installed one in his '86 Yamaha V- Max. After seeing how well his battery worked, I bought one for my '04 Yamaha FZ1. Installation was easy; I just had to measure, cut and fit a few pieces of the supplied foam to my battery box. I hooked up the cables and fired it up on the first try. So far, no complaints, although I have not operated in under 50 degree weather yet. If it' s still working this well in a year, I' ll give it a five star rating.
