I've had Battery Tenders of this model in use for about 10 years, and have been very happy with their performance and reliability. If I had to guess, I saved 2x the cost of the Battery Tender in the first year, as I am very neglectful of batteries otherwise, due to having many motorcycles and vintage cars not regularly driven. In some cases prior to using Battery Tenders, I would allow my batteries to get too discharged, then be destroyed by conventional chargers. The Battery Tender solves all of the above! Never overcharges nor allows the battery to deplete. My father-in-law also uses this model on his Jeep, which is stored in Colorado for 10 months/year, and he says this is the first time he has managed to keep a battery alive for more than 2 years.

This is a great battery charger for maintaining a battery over the winter months or while your bike is in storage. The plug in connector can be installed on your battery and tucked out of sight. But remember to watch your battery water level if you're not using a "maintenance free" battery!

I have the it cannected to the battery on my motorcycle with the wires designed for that. Also have the clip wires for keeping the battery in the car in storage charged too.
