I purchased this helmet to upgrade/replace my first helmet that I learned how to ride on which was a HJC cl-15 mutant. I absolutely LOVE this Bell RS-1 helmet!!!! I own the shatter design currently. The overall value for your money is top notch, you can't beat it. The comfort level of the micro suede inside panels is amazing. This helmet breaks in very good and fits amazing. I was a LARGE in my HJC and remained a LARGE for the Bell Rs-1. The only thing I would say that I noticed I did not like was a good amount of wind noise which riding at speed but I think this is to be expected from most helmets while your speed increases, if I go into a semi or full tuck the noise goes away entirely. And even with the wind noise the helmet does not get knocked around at all at speed and is VERY stable (especially compared to my HJC). I love the 3 way LOCK, CLOSED, and VENT visor switch. And the magnetic D-ring clasp is great also, no stupid snaps. The 3 vents on the helmet work very well also to keep air flowing through the helmet in the summer. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this helmet. I would but the same helmet again in a heartbeat if I had to or buy another Bell product before anything else. You simply can't beat this value and I love that ordering it from BikeBandit I get money back in my pocket for future purchases through them !!!!
