Comments about BikeMaster Sintered Brake Pads & Shoes:

The brake pads on my bike were not completely worn down but they were old (previous owner + 3 years) and I was thinking it may be time to put some fresh brakes on since I was doing other upgrades anyway.

They installed without incident and they perform their job well. I did notice a slight whistle/squeak when braking that I did not have with my old pads. I'm not complaining because it is not that noticeable. I am going to wait and see if it goes away after I break them in a little more.

Comments about BikeMaster Sintered Brake Pads & Shoes:

The sintered brakes are far superior to the standard brake pads. For the price, these pads are excellent. Took only about 60 miles to get them worn-in to where they feel incredible. There is a noticeable difference in my ride.

I noticed this product says "brake pads & shoes", but both are not pictured. The other (same brand but tad cheaper) does say the same thing and shows both front and rear breaks.
This is prob. a dumb question, as this is my first time buying brakes, but is this set sold with BOTH? I REALLY want these.
          Thanks A Ton,

Thanks for your question! These would be sold as applicable. If your machine uses pads you would get pads if your machine uses shoes you would get shoes. Brakes are sold in a pair, one pair required per rotor or drum. We hope this makes sense. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any questions 1-888-339-3888.

        • Q:

Should I replace my rotors at the same time I replace my brake pads? Or can I just install new pads ? Is it possible to turn motorcycle rotors just like you would on a car or truck?

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Thank you for your question. Motorcycle rotors cannot be turned like a car or truck. You can measure the thickness of the rotors with a vernier caliper, the minimum thickness is typically stamped on the rotor itself. If the rotor is within specs and passes a visual inspection do not replace it. If the rotor has big grooves and is out of spec replace them.
