Comments about BikeMaster TruGel Battery (MG12B-4):
I ordered this for my 2008 V-Star Classic. I didn't bother me that it took 9 days to arrive. But it and an oil filter came in a 11 x 11 x 13 box that only had 2 sheets of wadded-up paper for packing! The box was semi-crushed, and the battery box damaged. There was no visible damage to the battery itself, so I installed it anyway. If you plan to change out your battery on this model motorcycle, be prepared to spend some extra time removing wires before removing the old battery, and replacing them after installing the new battery. If you're not so inclined, have a professional do it.
Great Upgrade Over OEM

This is my second TruGel from Bike Bandit. The first went in a vintage Bonneville, this one is for a Ducati. Obviously it's a plus not to have to deal with putting acid in the battery; it's ready to install right out of the box. Additionally, there are far fewer concerns about damage to the bike due to acid leaks from a damaged or faulty battery case. I rotate a Battery Tender around my bikes and in a completely unscientific study it appears the TruGel batteries hold their charge better than the other sealed lead acid batteries. Bottom line: if I can find a TruGel that will fit my application, I'll buy it.
