Comments about BikeMaster TruGel Battery (MG14L-A2):
My Fj1200 Yamaha would always start slowly when warm, even with a brand new lead-acid battery installed. This battery is much more powerful. I don't have that problem any longer. I expect it to last longer than other batteries but can't say that it will yet as I've only been using it for two weeks

The horrible packaging left both cheaply made battery terminals badly bent. Don't know who would think a piece of paper would stop a heavy battery from flying around inside a box six times bigger then it. After carefully straightening the terminals out to the point that I thought they would work I installed the battery in the bike. I could not get the negative cable to fasten correctly so I had to waste more time to remove the battery and straighten the terminal some more. Had to crank the bike a bit to get it to start and the fully charged battery quickly started to run out of cranking reserve. Between them problems and the fact that people claim you need a special battery charger for Gel batteries I would not buy again. Don't fully understand the special charging needs because your bike doesn't know it's a Gel battery, it is going to charge it like a regular wet cell battery.
