I installed these Bridgestones on my 1987 xt600 dual sport they where slightly narrower then my previous tires even though they are the exact same tire size. Overall they are not bad tires to cruise the neighborhood then jump a trail here and there if your riding off road mostly you may want to pass on these and go for something more aggressive they are more street oriented and durable because of that. In my opinion these would work on a 250 fine but you need a bigger foot print tire for a 400 or bigger.
Its all what you want to do with your bike really.
ride lots of road buy these. if your riding slate dumps and well roads they are fine but if your trying to get into the back woods or mountains of PA or similar region and know theres lots of mud or water crossing you need knobbys and these lack there.

yes it wears fast but that what makes it great. It's soft so it handles great on wet or dry roads. Works well in the dirt i use it on a xr 650l and love it!!!!
