I live in a condo without a garage, therefore I have to park my bike outside. I use a few things prevent theft. I cable lock my bike to a steel post, put a cover over it and then use this Disc Brake Bully Lock. I chose the bright orange one and purposely leave it exposed as a deterrent. It is very simple to use and very heavy duty. I honestly don't see how a thief could get this off without damaging the rotor. The keys are heavy duty and seem like they would be difficult to reproduce. One of the keys even comes with little light on it to assist in removal in the dark. Great prodcut, that is very affordable.

This lock is heavy duty and I found quite reasonably priced. The product was delivered in 6 days so I will start all my bike shopping with BikeBandit. Following another reviewers suggestion I did purchase the high vis lock and a lock reminder. The lock reminder could be a bit longer but it's ok.

The visual deterance is great!Ordered this to replace a conventional style lock that worked, but had a very exposed shackle. This lock has nothing exposed to would-be theives and seems like it would be next to impossible to remove without damaging/removing the disc. I'm sure the bike can still be picked-up if there are enough people, but this makes it difficult enough for the casual thief to walk past to a bike that's more accessible. A couple of suggestions though; order it in orange for more of a visual deterance and get the "disc lock reminder" so you're not trying to take-off with the lock still on the bike.Very embarrassing!JC
