BikeBandit.com's Holiday Shipping Deadlines
December 7, 2012 - San Diego, CA
It's getting down to the wire; shoppers are flooding the malls and presents are being hastily wrapped. But you haven't gotten all of your shopping done yet, have you? The bad news: neither have the thousands of people who will be swarming the stores. The good news: there's still time to buy everything you need to make the motorcycle riders in your life happy online. Whether it be motorcycle gloves or aftermarket motorcycle parts, order from BikeBandit.com and get the gifts that they'll really love and get it all before Christmas.
Apparel and Accessories:
If you're hoping to get the motorcycle rider in your life a new motorcycle helmet or a t-shirt sporting their favorite brand's logo, select the size and color that you would like to order and check out the "Usually ships within..." note.
This will tell you whether the item is on stock or on backorder. If the item is on backorder, chances are good that you won't be getting that item in time for the holidays, so only buy it if you're not planning on seeing cousin Stewart after actual Christmas day or if you don't mind mailing it to him a little late. If it shows a 24 hour shipping note, order it before Friday, December 14 and it will probably be under your tree before Christmas morning.
The same rule applies with Aftermarket Motorcycle Parts. Whether you're buying them a new motorcycle seat or some awesome new motorcycle mirrors, select the motorcycle year, model, etc. that you would like the parts to be fitted for and check the "Usually ships within..." note. If it's available and ready to ship in 24 hours, order it by Friday, December 14th and pat yourself on the back for being awesome.
OEM Motorcycle Parts tend to follow the same logic with a few exceptions. Order available parts from Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki or Yamaha by Friday, December 14th and chances are good that they'll arrive on time for Christmas. The problem begins with BMW, Polaris and Triumph whose distribution centers are just a bit too far from us for the parts to get to our warehouse in time to be shipped to you with enough time for you to wrap them and put them under the tree.
On smaller orders, BikeBandit.com does offer an express shipping option. This option, when applicable to certain orders, ships your package via UPS 2nd Day Air. This means that once the item or items have reached our warehouse, they'll only take two days to get to your doorstep. One major thing to note is that this does not include the amount of time the product needs to get to us. In other words, if the item is in our warehouse, you should get it in two to three days. If not, it'll take the amount of time that it takes to get to us plus the two day express shipping.
There's always one thing to remember this time of year, though. With so many packages coming and going through UPS and USPS, they can get a little backed up. While we may be able to get it out in time to be on its way to your doorstep, sometimes there are delays within the shipping companies themselves. Unfortunately, we can't control or predict this. The best way to avoid these delays is to shop now and give yourself a time cushion.
Happy gifting! And be sure to check out our Holiday Gift Guide for more ideas on what to get the riders on your Christmas list or send it over to your friends and family to show them what you really want this year.
