Icon Hella Jacket Review

Icon Women's Hella Leather Motorcycle Jacket
I'm an online shopper. There's really no use denying it. But when it comes to buying new motorcycle gear, I'm typically left stumped and frustrated, especially with women's motorcycle jackets. I refuse to wear a men's motorcycle jacket. It's just cut all wrong for ladies. But the chick stuff can be a bit... one dimensional. Most women's motorcycle jackets often overcompensate for the lack of femininity of their form with the color pink and some sort of floral design. And then there's the Icon Women's Hella Leather Motorcycle Jacket. It's simple yet extremely feminine and still gives every bit of protection that a woman needs.
Here's the rundown of the Icon Hella Jacket Review:
Either in black or white 1.2 to 1.4mm high grade leather - I got the white because I like to be different - the Icon Women's Hella Leather Motorcycle Jacket screams of being constructed in the highest quality. Pulling it out of the box, I was really impressed right off the bat. Even the seams are reinforced to give it a very substantial feel.
The next thing I always check for is protection. When it came to the Icon Hella Jacket review, I was far from disappointed once again. Icon does a really great job with their protection on all of their Icon motorcycle jackets, and the Icon Women's Hella Leather Motorcycle Jacket continued with that reputation. It comes with CE-approved Field Armor elbow and shoulder impact protectors as well as a dual-density foam back pad that can all be removed in case you want to upgrade. Still, with the high quality leather and the already great quality of the armor, there really isn't a need to invest in replacements.
The real test when it comes to women's motorcycle jackets is the fit. I was a little worried when I first got the Icon Women's Hella Leather Motorcycle Jacket because of the minimal adjustment points, which is great for the look since it cuts out extra stuff but limits custom fit ability. But Icon must have really put a lot of effort into designing the fit because it turns out that I hardly needed to adjust it at all and the side buckles were perfect for cinching up my waist.
One really big surprise with the Icon Hella Jacket review was the inside of the jacket. Made of a red silk, the inner liner is way higher quality than I expected and really gives me a sense of luxury when I slip it on. Definitely a plus. The minus side? The liner isn't removable. So even though this leather jacket does have some pretty good venting, it can get a little hot. Luckily I haven't struggled with that too much here in California, though I wouldn't recommend it for 120 degree summers in Arizona.
All in all, I own a few other women's motorcycle jackets but my all time favorite is, hands down, the Icon Women's Hella Leather Motorcycle Jacket. It may be a slight more spendy at $400, but it really is worth the price. It looks great and keeps you looking like a lady while you ride without having to flash around neon pink or deck you out in floral patterns. Plus it doesn't let you down when it comes to the protection that every rider, male or female, should have.
