Ever find yourself cruising on your motorcycle, enjoying the sunlight shining down on you, the open road sprawled out in front of you and nothing holding you back until your tire blows unexpectedly or a deer jumps out in front of you and you're suddenly laying on your back next to your bike dreading the moment when you lift your head up to survey the damage? No? Well it could happen. And the worst part of it will be finding out that you didn't bring the right tools to fix the situation.

While some motorcycles may come stock with handy tools and repair necessities, you should make sure to keep with you an emergency kit containing some must have items. You can either pick up one of these motorcycle tool kits or out together your own but here's a list of things that every rider should have on them every time they ride.

Tools:
  • Open-ended Wrenches

  • Screwdrivers, Regular and Phillips

  • Needle-nose Pliers and Regular Pliers

  • Spark Plug Socket and Wrench

  • Spare Motorcycle Spark Plugs

  • Spare Fuses

  • Electrical Tape and a few feet of Electrical Wire

  • Cable Ties

  • A Flashlight

  • Any Specialty Tools for your bike

    • Hopefully you'll never come into a situation where you need them, but medical supplies are a must to have on your during any ride. Make sure that you at least have this list of supplies stashed on your bike.

    Medical Supplies:
  • Adhesive Bandages in several sizes

  • Gauze

  • Adhesive Tape

  • Small Scissors

  • Alcohol Wipes

  • Rubber Gloves

  • Tweezers

  • Aspirin and/or Ibuprofen

  • A small bottle of water

  • Trail Mix or and Energy Bar
    • Also, think about picking up some sort of motorcycle GPS or emergency GPS system in case you're ever without your cell phone or might not have reception. Need a place to put it all?
