Video Feature - GoPro Hero3

Ashley Benson

October 19, 2012 - San Diego, CA

I read an article once on how the introduction of action cameras, such as the GoPro and the Contour, has made us a community of over-sharers. Said author claimed that we narcissistically record every second of our lives and then share it via the web incessantly like we expect that everyone else cares to see it, despite the fact that no one does. At the end, the author called for us narcissistic over-sharing recording maniacs to cut it out and leave the filming to the professions.

My response? Pity. Pure pity. Because obviously this guy wasn’t seeing the same videos as I am. From YouTube to our very own BikeBandit.com Facebook Fan page, I have seen some pretty awe-striking videos that have made me live vicariously through crazy daredevils and adventurous friends. No matter what the sport, from heli-skiing to riding a sportbike through the Tail of the Dragon, it has been proven that it doesn’t take a pro-videographer to make riveting film.

To that author of the mis-guided article, I dare you to watch this GoPro Hero3 Video and still believe we should stop:

GoPro as a brand has held a huge corner of the market since they were founded in 2004. Just days ago, they proved that they still have what it takes to put out the best of the best action video equipment with their newest technology in the GoPro Hero3 Silver Edition.

30% smaller and 25% lighter than the extremely popular GoPro Hero2, the GoPro Hero3 has the same great video capabilities but with Wi-Fi and the option to use the GoPro App that allows you to fully control your GoPro from any iOS or Android smart phones or tablets.

While the GoPro Hero3 is still being shipping to distributors who can get it out to you, BikeBandit.com has set up a full notification system that allows you to be notified immediately by email and phone when the GoPro Hero3 hits shelves so that you don’t miss a second of recording your shenanigans. Go to http://www.bikebandit.com/gopro-hero3-silver-edition-camera to sign up for notifications now. And please, for the sake of us bench racers stuck at the office, please keep those videos and photos coming by posting them on our Facebook Fan page, Twitter and even shooting them to us in email at community@bikebandit.com. We certainly appreciate the “over sharing.”
