Video Feature - Project Kickstart Presents Glenn Guerin
November 16, 2012 - San Diego, CA
As an owner of seven motorcycles from a vintage BSA to a Harley-Davidson bagger to the perfect motocross and desert riding bikes, Glenn Guerin is nothing short of a motorcycle expert. We were stoked when he pulled all of his rides out for us to take a look at his collection. Of course, then we had to ask what fun projects he currently has going on with his rides, check out the video:
With a 2007 Yamaha YZ450F, a 2007 KTM 450 EXC, a 2003 Suzuki DR-Z400S, a 2006 Husqvarna 510 Supermoto, a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic, a 2005 MV Agusta F4-1000 and a 1957 BSA M21 all in his garage, Glenn definitely has a lot of choices when it comes to working on his bikes. Right now, he's focusing on tuning his suspension on the MV Agusta.
Still, it's not all easy-peasy, which Glenn explains requires knowing your limitations. If a certain part of a project is just too big for you to handle, take that motorcycle part into a pro and have them get the crazy hard stuff out of the way. Then, when you get it back, it's all yours to tweak and tune.
But his biggest tip for BikeBandit.com customers who are just starting out on working on their rides? Keep your motorcycle air filter properly serviced. It's easy, but often overlooked and can let dirt and grime into the engine that causes premature wear. To keep your motorcycle air filter squeaky clean, remove it, clean it using the proper motorcycle air filter cleaner, dry it, oil it with motorcycle air filter oil and then re-install it into your motorcycle. For desert riding, Glenn recommends even bringing air cleaner and oil in a zip-lock bag for on the go motorcycle air filter cleanings between rides.
Of course, for all of his motorcycle parts, motorcycle gear and motorcycle accessories, Glenn knows where it's at: BikeBandit.com.
