    Well I planned to take my 2002 YZF-R6 to the track some time this summer, so I figured "why not go ahead and replace the clutch?" Good thing I did, as the previous owner obviously dogged it. I was pulling the old plates out and saw one of my friction discs in 3 pieces. Needless to say, I was glad I decided to replace it and that this kit was so well priced. Installation was straight forward. Just pull the old clutch out, pull the old discs, and put the new discs in the same way the old ones came out. Thanks Bike Bandit.

    Great Clutch, Easy to install took me a few hours but clutch only took 20 minutes. The gasket was the hardest part. Thought this was a Full kit but it only was the clutch springs and plates. Still an Awesome upgrade. I would buy it again if I had to replace it.

        I run full synthetic oil with ester, will this clutch kit function properly without any slippage problems? I run Yamalube.

          Thanks for your question! this is something you may want to ask the manufacturer directly. But many time Synthetic works better in these performance clutches due to how it catches the clutch better.

          Yes this will be an upgraded kit and will work with your machine.
          Item number 175025 will be without your steel plates and item number 2737967 will be an entire kit with the steel plates.

        I ordered and recieved this part. The product details clearly state that the kit comes with the steel drive plates and gives the option of steel, or not steel friction plates. product was delivered w/ friction plates, springs and NO drive plates. I need this resolved, as I will not install this w/o the new drive plates. I will either be sent the drive plates, or I'll return this item and order a more complete and better described kit.
