Comments about Dunlop D404 Motorcycle Tire:
I ride a 1983 Honda Magna with 45,000 miles most of which I put on. I have bought two sets of these tires. Got 12,000 miles on the first set. I am not sure if that is good or bad but I am happy with the performance. Dunlop doesn't have such a great rep, but that is because they put a cheap one on as OEM on the Harley's and I have heard people that only got 3,000 miles on them and I guess they don't handle great either. I got caught in two very hard rains and even with almost 12,000 on them they still handled well. I suspect that next year I will be putting on the 3rd set of these.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Baby's Got New Shoes!
from Sturtevant, WI
When my older Goldwing needed new tires, I did a lot of internet research to find the best value. BikeBandit and Dunlop 404s came out on top. Even the tire shop guy said "nice tires".

This was my third D404 tire. I am very happy with the performance and life. BikeBandit had a great price and fast delivery. This tire is a little slick when brand new, but I follow the manufacturers recommendation to drive 100 miles very easy and have never had a problem. A break-in period is a good practice for any new tire anyway.I will definately buy another when the time comes.
Service and delivery comments:
BikeBandit has good prices and quick delivery. I also like earning BanditBucks with my purchases to spend on things I want, not necessarily need.

Good commuter Tire
from Auburn Hills Mi.
I just wore out the rear after about 12k miles and find it hard to believe any reviews that these tires don't last well. For what they are designed to do,mostly highway, commuter duty, they do it fairly well. The 404's just dont inspire any confidence in cornering during spirited riding though. That's really my only complaint. On a cruiser they would last and be good tires but for anything resembling sport riding I find the compound to hard for gripping well. I replaced them with Bridgestone BT-45's and I know I won't get the mileage the Dunlops gave me but I just needed a little more grip.
