I have used this tire for years. I reorder this tire because I get good ware and feel safe on it.
I order from Bike Bandit because they don't give me any krap. I get a fair price and a good product and they ship it to me fast, even before I have a chance to witch about it.
I have been riding since 1959 and I'm too old to take any krap so I will keep ordering from Bike Bandit.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Dunlop D404 Motorcycle Tire:

The D404 came as original equipment on my Vulcan VN900. These tires are great bad new and with almost 13000 on them and just now hitting the wear markers, have performed well.
I have of the upsides to these are excellent traction even in extremely wet conditions, for a cruiser tire they hold well in corners and they do not follow the rain grooves in the pavement like others would.
Downsides;
As the tires rack up mileage they begin to lose balance, at about 6500K when you lightly held the grips the front end would have a noticable shake, traction on corners becomes an issue even in moderate cases and at about 11500 the shake becomes noticable with just one hand off and a tight grip on the throttle.
All these issues combined made me order the Pirelli MT66 and try those out.
Final thoughts are the D404 is a good tire that may require additional balancing as it ages and a less aggressive riding style but with proper care and caution they are an excellent choice.

Let everyone know how the Pirellis do after I rack a few miles on them.

    I just wore out the rear after about 12k miles and find it hard to believe any reviews that these tires don't last well.
    For what they are designed to do,mostly highway,commuter duty,they do it fairly well.
    The 404's just dont inspire any confidence in cornering during spirited riding though.That's really my only complaint.On a cruiser they would last and be good tires but for anything resembling sport riding I find the compound to hard for gripping well.
    I replaced them with Bridgestone BT-45's and I know I won't get the mileage the Dunlops gave me but I just needed a little more grip.

      I would recommend the Dunlop tire line to anyone who rides. I have spent many hours in the saddle covering these United States and the dunlops never let me down. The tire arrived just a few days after I ordered it and I was rolling again in short order.
