Comments about Dunlop D803 Trials Motorcycle Tire:

Don't be fooled about concerns that these tires will wear out quickly because they are soft. I have been running trials for the past five seasons and I get double the tire life, or more, than I did with motocross tires. These get awesome grip all the way down to the last bit of knobs. I have run Pirelli, Michelin, and IRC, and these Dunlaps are the best value and grip of them all. However only the Pirelli MT43's will get you out of the woods with any speed if you get a flat due to their firm sidewall.

A few things to keep in mind; they soften your ride quite a bit, feels like you changed your back shock. They have less side knobs so you cant hang the bike out sideways on a corner and expect the same grip, but to me the woods are about balance, speed, and grip. And the grip is AWESOME to the point that you have to experience it to explain it, in ALL conditions.

Last notes; these tires are made to run at low pressure on trials bikes, but run them the same as any other tire in the woods. Because they can run low pressure the bead can be very tight on your rim and a pain to mount. Also, I have experienced that these tires can get "stress cracks" around each knob which looks like a problem but I have never had an issue due to these cracks.

Not just for Trials

Comments about Dunlop D803 Trials Motorcycle Tire:

If you ride in hard terrain or on a lot of medium / large rocks and want to try something different, try one of these Dunlop Trials tires on the rear of your motorcycle. They have incredible grip and are unbeatable on steep rocky surfaces and boulder fields. So much so that they are often referred to as "cheater tires".

The only negative is that they are so soft that they will not last very long... But it is fun to try them if you want to experience something different.

Comments about Dunlop D803 Trials Motorcycle Tire:

I've run three Trials seasons on the D803,having run Michelins previously. The Dunlop D803 is a tubeless tire, quite stable even when only running as low as 2lbs. of air. I get a little over a season (1yr.) of frequent practice sessions(4 times/wk) and monthly competitions at the advanced level. The tire does begin to show some sidewall separation as it ages, but this is at the point of being nearly worn out so I have not been adversely affected by it. Doesn't feel any different than a Michelin except in the wallet. This tire hooks up!

Thanks for your question! With the tire your looking at you can find the details under "Product Details" This would be a tube type tire and not a radial, this would be a bias ply
