I had a front/rear set of these on a Husaberg FE 400 which I finally sold after putting 3,000 miles on the tires. The rear was still at half tread and looked great; the front showed little wear at all.
Very smooth, stable, street capability, and solid traction off road except in snow (duh).
Perhaps the strongest, longest lasting DS tires you will find.

I tried one of these on my KTM450EXC and it did well. It is definitely tough enough for some time on the black top and good on really hard packed dry dirt. It did well in some slick stuff, but is definitely not made for mud/sand. All in a good tire especially for bigger machines that will tear up softer tires on the roads.

This tire just HOOKS so hard at the hard pack natural terrain riding areas, took this down to Baja and not only did it hook it lasted a long time, great tire!

I have an XR650 and run mostly on hard pack desert and rocks. I am on the street 15% of the time to get to the dirt. The wide profile and deep tread allow me to run higher pressures when on rough terrain, avoiding pinch or rim slip, and still hookup strong. This is the best tire I have used to date. It is not especially good in sand or mud, but nonetheless will do the job to cross a wash or stream. I would take it to Baja without hesitation. On the street and hard pack dirt, this tire runs smooth at any speed. Simply put, it is a great tire.
