I put a pair of these on my 1997 Sportster 1200S and what a difference they made over the old 591s.

I rode the bike to the races at Laguna Seca up the California coast on Highway One and had a blast because these tires performed beyond all expectations. They acted neutral with great side to side response, predictable breakaway and they stuck like glue (hackneyed but true!).

I would not hesitate to fit a pair of these on any older bike I might own in the future. I wish Dunlop made a 130/90x17 rear so I could put a set on my 1982 Honda Sabre. Heck, I'd put a pair on my old Vespa scooter if they made a set to fit her.

Put a pair of these on your vintage ride, you will NOT be disappointed.

I've used the GT 501 on my 1970 Honda CB 750 race bike for two seasons now. They give great, predictable grip under the most abusive cornering situations. And for as well as they grip they last a good long time. I would suggest them to anyone that rides an older bike.

Also great is Bike Bandit's customer service. Michelle did a great job of making sure I got the freshest possible tires for the start of my 2009 racing season. Thanks Michelle!
