This product strips away caked on gunk very well. It has a pleasant-enough scent--reminds me of citrus--and is safe on o-ring chains, so it's safe to use with most rubber parts. It works really fast to dissolve grease and oil and grime. I've gone through several cans and will continue to buy this for all my degreasing needs.
Great chain cleaner

I use the degreaser to clean my chain before applying fresh oil. It takes off the old oil and accumulated road grime easily. If you ride a lot, especially in conditions that turn your chain black and gummy with old oil and road grime, this is the perfect product for you. Give your chain a solid spray with the Dupont degreaser, hit it with a grunge brush, and spray again. Your chain will look like new. The only downside is a can of degreaser doesn't seem to last near as long as a similar sized can of Dupont chain lube. So, best to buy two cans of cleaner per can of oil.
