Comments about Eiko Halogen Bulb:
I purchased a high-powered version (100/55) and am very impressed. This bulb replaced a Sylvania SilverStar Ultra that was previously fit to my Ninja 250. I was very pleased with those bulbs but the high-price and short-life I experienced with my car's bulbs was a bit of a deterrent. I love some extra nighttime visibility for my bike so I try to review different bulbs when I can afford to. (The SilverStar is still in good shape, back in it's blister pack where it will stay until the Eiko burns out or I review another brand.)Nothing outstanding about the low-beam, but the high-current high-beam is, to my eyes without any special equipment other than a 12am dark ride from work back home, ever so slightly but noticeably more effective than the costly bulb; exactly what I wanted to see.Another observation is that the light appears to be warmer than the Silverstar's white light, but by no means yellow, just a typical halogen; there is no coating on the bulb like there is on the Silverstar. The headlamp assembly on my Kawi is plastic, save for the glass, and after a week of 30-mile high-beam-usage-per-night has suffered no obvious damage from any extra heat generated by the high-power bulb; the same is true for my very-thin wiring. Closer inspection of the wiring is in order but I'm not expecting to be disappointed.I hope to experiment with modifying / improving my wiring harness to attempt to improve lighting further just in case the bulb cannot draw to it's full potential. This is pure speculation.
Great for older bikes

This bulb is an excellent choice for older motorcycles with marginal charging systems. Very bright using only 35 watts.
