Are LED's a bright idea?

Comments about Emgo LED Bulbs:
I replaced the running lights/blinkers on my 75 CB550 which has a marginal charging system. The are slightly less bright than the standard bulbs and part of that is the directional nature of the light. The chrome based reflectors on my bike do not bounce the light around effectively inside the housing.It would be better in applications where the bulb is aligned so it does not need the reflector, like the tail light.The bulbs are slightly larger than regular bulbs but they did not cause me any problems in instalation. Overall, I am happy with them as they take 20 to 30 watts of load off the 135w charging system.

Bought these for the taillight and blinkers in my 1982 Honda, in the taillight it doesn't draw enough power and the dash panel indicated my light was out. As for the blinkers, I didn't see enough of a difference to say they are good. I definitely will not buy them again. I also would not suggest them for anyone.
