after about the forth good crash the aluminium part that connects to the inner bar broke when i hit the ground at about 20-25 mph and on a klx 300 i didnt really expect that after crashing my old xr600r to many times to count.had them for many years and even put them on a different 600r...so i would recommend these but not for heavy bikes or people who ride really rocky,rough terrain

These handgaurds fit well on my '07 XR650L (stock handlebars). I'm not sure if they would fit on bigger diameter bars, maybe though. The included aluminum clamps have sharp corners on them, it would be nice if they were rounded. This could easily be done on a bench grinder. The clamps also come very close to touching my gas tank. In a crash it wouldn't surprise me if they dinged the tank. The clamps could have a nicer finish too. All in all, they will protect my hands just fine.
Great product, okay hardware

I put these on my 99 KLX 300. I have definitely tried them out. Crashed plenty this summer, but my control levers are all still fine. Protect your hands well and look good too. The hardware that comes with the pack is a okay but not great. The bolt that tightens the guard into the bars on mine started to strip out, but is fine as long as you are careful.
